Landmark Insiders history began in Northern California in 1992 when one of its managing members, Landmark Investment Group, began operations as a purveyor of 2nd mortgage real estate notes and subsequently transitioned to the development, finance and acquisition of residential real estate. Today, Landmark Insiders maintains a synergistic relationship with each separate company, all sharing the same passion and vision to create opportunities which empower the individual towards greater growth. Ed Mercer has achieved an impressive record of professional success, which includes owning multiple international businesses, becoming a millionaire at age 27 and directly assisting 35 individuals to become millionaires.
Mr. Mercer is the largest private land developer in Costa Rica, having amassed 6,000 acres of land and created a “one-stop-shop” facility for home ownership. He is an active philanthropist and member of Habitat for Humanity, National Geographic, The World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace and other charitable organizations. One of his greatest personal achievements is the creation of the "Edward R. Mercer Foundation," which is dedicated to the improvement of the planet through ecological conservation and education.
Mr. Mercer has shared the stage with many of the most accomplished speakers and best selling authors in the world, including Anthony Robbins, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Bob Proctor, Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, T. D. Bryce Prescott
Co-Founder/Principal
Bryce Prescott has been involved in most aspects of the real estate industry. His formal education and years as a mortgage broker solidified for him the reality of creating wealth through real estate acquisition. As an entrepreneur his most current project to date has been the co-conception and realization of Landmark Insiders; a company dedicated to creating wealth through assisting others. His dedication to being a part of “mutually beneficial transactions for all parties involved” assisted to build the reputation that Landmark has developed. Through the vehicle of post-foreclosure bank owned assets he and his partner, Trent Williams, have introduced countless entrepreneurs to a system to make money like larger institutional banks, with a focus on cash flow through portfolio income.
As an avid skier, Bryce enjoys his current home base of Salt Lake City, Utah and all of the outdoor activities the state has to offer. Besides skiing, he plays many musical instruments, including saxophone, piano and guitar and is an accomplished writer. He is the father of four children; three beautiful daughters and a son. Besides his family, other notable accomplishments include a two-year service mission in Porto Alegre, RS Brazil. His commitment to build up those around him has forged friendships with all types of people, spanning the globe. His intention is to uplift and inspire, “leaving everything [he] comes in contact with better off than [he] found it.”
Trent D. Williams
Co-Founder/Principal
Trent Williams graduated from high school at the age of 16 and immediately engaged in the entrepreneurial venture of owning and operating a dairy facility, which he subsequently sold in order to serve two years performing missionary work in Kiribati, near Fiji.
After spending several years in the construction and engineering sectors, Mr. Williams functioned as a consultant to a client base of architects, engineers and contractors engaged in commercial and high-end residential projects.
In 1992, he founded Landmark Investment Group, which began by buying and selling mortgage notes on the secondary market and developing relationships with multiple financial institutions.
In the spring of 2008, Landmark Investment Group and M. Parker Management came together to launch and manage a family of Landmark companies collectively engaged in providing socially responsible exit strategies for discounted assets, such as those owned by lending institutions as a result of foreclosure initiatives.
Mr. Williams is the proud father of three daughters, husband to an amazing woman (model, entrepreneur and attorney) and attributes his success to an awareness of who he is and the gratitude he feels for his experiences. He surrounds himself with talented, highly adept individuals that share his commitment to making a difference in the world by assisting people in creating recurring / portfolio income while they discover and fulfill their soul purpose.
Brent C. Rose
VP of Asset Management
Brent Rose has been involved in the financial lending business most of his working life. During his career, Brent has managed, owned, and operated multiple companies, covering nearly every aspect of the residential and commercial lending business. His vast business experience within the retail, wholesale, and secondary markets, combined with his commitment, dedication, and unending willingness to serve others makes him a valuable asset to Landmark Insiders.
Brent is an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys various activities, including 4-wheeling, camping, hiking, mountain biking, and has a true love for fly-fishing. Besides the outdoors, he enjoys running, and competing in triathlons. He has completed several half-marathons, Olympic distance triathlons, and enjoys participating in the Ragnar Relay Race (180 miles) every year since 2004.
Brent & his wonderful wife welcomed a new baby boy to their family in December 2009. Their family now includes two beautiful daughters and three incredible sons. Among his other notable accomplishments, Brent cherishes the experiences of a two-year church service mission in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Brent finds that people believe in him, because he believes in them, and he believes in himself. He sees and encourages the best within others.
Jared R. Bryant
Director of Operations
Jared Bryant began his career working for the State of California, Office of the Auditor General as an Auditor and later moved on to the California Franchise Tax Board where he served as an Operations Specialist.
Jared was a Principal at Payment Servicing Corp, a company located in Northern California that specializes in developing electronic transfer, online payment, and lockbox processing solutions for its clients. As the payment processing business grew, Jared developed numerous consulting relationships with Property Management Companies in Northern California and Oregon
Before joining Landmark, Jared worked as a consultant for Self-Directed Retirement Solutions, LLC where he assisted clients in establishing 401K's for their personal businesses.
Jared emanates complete dedication and loyalty to everything he is a part of. His value to Landmark Insiders, and their clients, is enhanced by his commitment to making a difference in the world. Jared earned his MBA from Utah State University and his BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
